About Jennie

Jennie Wilcox, LLMSW

Jennie Wilcox, LLMSW is a clinical social worker experienced in crisis intervention, treatment for anxiety and depression as well as trauma. She will help guide individuals through significant life stressors, at moments where individuals feel stuck in their day to day life but unsure of how to change. She works with teens and adults and enjoys working with couples and families to find effective and long-lasting solutions to relationship barriers.

Jennie combines effective listening with compassionate conversation to allow individuals to learn to take control of their emotions and lives. She believes that deciding to come to therapy is the first step in improving one’s life, and says, “While there are moments in life that challenge us, making us feel defeated and lost, my goal is to provide constructive therapy that can help guide you to a renewed sense of hope, courage, and confidence.”

Jennie believes in a strengths-based approach, helping an individual to recognize their own resources as a means of overcoming barriers to growth. She believes that couples and families can be saved and reunited with nonjudgmental therapeutic help.

Jennie received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Wayne State University.

Currently Jennie is accepting new referrals and works virtually only. She does participate in various insurances, but it would be best to ask her individually about your particular insurance plan and if she participates with it.
